Scalp peeling helps cleanse and regenerate the scalp. How often should you use it?

Scalp peeling is a treatment that some of us have never even heard of. Why is it recommended? How to make it? Why is it worth taking care of the condition of your scalp? You will find answers to these and other questions below.

Scalp peeling. Why is it worth using scalp peeling regularly?

This is a treatment that can significantly improve the condition of the scalp and hair. The peeling procedure itself, which may also be called abrasion, exfoliation or simply exfoliation, involves the removal of old, dead epidermis. Thanks to this, it nourishes the skin, reduces wrinkles and can also lighten discolorations. There are various types and forms of peels that can be selected depending on the problem and expected effect, e.g. chemical, mechanical and physical; fine-grained and coarse-grained; enzymatic.

So what is scalp peeling? As you can easily guess, this is also about removing dead skin. When there is too much of it, unpleasant itching may occur. So if the procedure is performed quite regularly, not only that cleanses the skinbut also affects her regeneration. It also helps regulate sebum production. When the calloused epidermis is removed, nutrients, e.g. from masks or conditioners, are more easily absorbed. But that’s not all! During peeling is carried out skin massage scalp, which in turn has a positive effect on hair bulbs. They are also better nourished and stronger, which also translates into the condition of the hair. This happens due to the stimulation of microcirculation. This is especially important for people struggling with hair loss – regular peeling can significantly reduce this phenomenon.

Enzymatic scalp peeling or maybe another one?

As in the case of peels for other parts of the body, there are several types of peels, e.g. mechanical, enzymatic, acid. Regardless of whether we choose an enzyme peeling for the scalp or another one, it is worth using common sense when making a choice and reading the composition of the product. It is best if such a product does not contain harmful substances such as silicones. Due to the fact that the skin is massaged during peeling and absorbs various nutrients, it is worth making sure that the peel also contains substances that moisturize and nourish the scalp. The more components there are, the better. The head peeling treatment involves the selected substance having longer contact with the skin, so ensuring the proper composition of the cosmetic is important.

Can you make a home-made scalp scrub?

Of course it is, and it is a very good choice because you are sure about the product’s composition and quality. It’s also not as complicated as it may seem. In fact, all you need to do is add some sugar to your favorite shampoo to get a homemade scalp scrub. Of course, the shampoo itself should also be of good quality and consist of natural ingredients with proven properties affecting the condition of the skin and hair. Therefore, it is good to read the compositions carefully so as not to use products containing, among others: SLS. Sugar peeling of the scalp perfectly cleanses the skin and stimulates its regeneration, which indirectly contributes to improving the condition of the hair.
