“Humanist vampire seeks suicide”, best feature film in the Fant Official Section

The jury of the 30th edition of the FantBilbao Fantastic Film Festival, has awarded the Best Feature Film Award of this edition to Humanist vampire seeks suicideby Ariane Louis-Seize “for being a fantastic love story told from the freshness, youth, and originality of being connected to today’s society.”
In the short films section, the award for Best Short Film in the Official Section went to She (‘Snake’)’, by René Zhan, and Rabbit steps out, by Pablo Río, wins the award for Best Basque Short Film. In this case, the jury highlighted him “for his audacity, his energy, in a psychedelic commitment to the most classic animation.”
Furthermore, the Association of Basque Screenwriters-Euskal Gidoigileak has considered that the title worthy of the Best Feature Film Script Award in the Official Section goes to You are not me, by Marisa Crespo and Moisés Romera, and the Cineclub FAS Most Innovative Direction Award went to Red roomsby Pascal Plante.
For its part, the Union of Basque Actors (EAB) has decided that the award for the best performance of FANT in Basque short films will go to ex aequo in Usue Alvarez and Urko Olazabal by Deadly Drawfrom director Nitya López.
The main winners of the Official Section will be screened this Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m. in the BBK Room.
