is the norm today and rightly so, because we should take care of the well-being of our planet. There are containers for plastic, paper, glass, bio-waste and mixed waste in housing estates, so most people have no problem with segregation, but as it turns out, there is also waste that is difficult to define, which some people have trouble with. What to do with used batteries or light bulbs? Where to throw away egg cartons?
Where to dispose of used light bulbs? This is not obvious at all
90% of the exhausted material is recyclable. They must not be thrown into the mixed waste bin because they contain substances potentially hazardous to the environment. So what to do with them? Well, they are included in electronic waste, so they should be placed in a special container for this type of waste. You can also take them to a collection point for used electrical equipment.

What to do with used oil? Where should egg cartons go? Many people have trouble with this
Many people pour oil down the toilet or sink after frying. This is a big mistake, because when it cools down, it settles on the pipes, which leads to blockages and even damage to the entire water and sewage system. It is best to pour used oil into a jar and send it to PSZOK.
Egg trays are also a problem for some people. Where should they be placed? Well, it depends on what they are made of. If they are paper, they should go in the blue bin, and if they are plastic or Styrofoam, they must end up in the plastic waste bin. Other waste that not everyone knows where to throw away is:
- milk cartons – should go into the plastic and plastic container,
- aerosol containers – they must end up in the yellow container,
- nail polish bottle – goes into mixed waste,
- broken mirror – mixed waste containers are a suitable place.
- toothpaste tube – ends up in a yellow container.
