Throw them cut into smaller pieces into a barrel and pour 10 liters of standing water, preferably rainwater. Cover with gauze, an old curtain or other material that allows air flow. Place the barrel or other tight container in a secluded place, as the slurry gives off a not-so-pleasant smell.
