The “19.30” news program has been broadcast on Telewizja Polska only since December 2023. After the revolution in format, it replaced the main edition of “Wiadomości”. The changes in the public media were aimed at depoliticizing the message and included numerous layoffs. Famous faces who were clearly associated with the propaganda of the previous authorities lost their jobs.

The most common criticism of “19.30” is the subdued, even boring way of presenting the content. However, the program’s defenders point out that this is what public television should be like, especially in times of ubiquitous tabloidization of the media.
The last edition of “19.30” was hosted by Marek Czyż, who announced the reporters’ next materials for the viewers. At the end of the program, he addressed the audience directly and praised the weekend’s statistics. As the host revealed, last Saturday and Sunday, the ten most watched productions on television included six produced by TVP.

TVP reported that the series “Matylda” attracted almost two million viewers. Interestingly, he was not afraid of competition in the form of elections. Less than a million people watched the election evening on Polish Television. “Sanatorium miłość” and the seventh edition of “The Voice Kids” also boast greater interest (1.6 million viewers) with 1.3 million viewers watching TV.
