René, ex-Salserín, was reunited with his fans in Ecuador; promote your current personal project

Singer, producer and songwriter René Velazco She confesses feeling happy to be back in a country that has opened the doors to her in many of her musical stages. “I have felt very good, people here always respond very well, they connect a lot with music. I have always had that affection for so many years and that is the public that has been growing with me “, affirms the ex-Salserín in an interview with this newspaper, after a tour in Ecuador called René in intimate, with which he toured several countries in America and Europe until the following year.

“It is a nostalgic show that is full of my beginnings, of Salserín, René and Renny (ex-Salserín). I also sing my new songs, the music I’m making and a couple of musical surprises that I always add to the show ”, describes the Venezuelan, who is more than happy to share in person with his followers. “All the remoteness of the public and of the events as such and of the shows, for us who dedicate ourselves to this, it has been like an incredible drought”, He expresses.

He is currently promoting his personal project #MyOwnVersion, which brings together several of the songs that he says marked him throughout his musical life and that have accompanied him since “pelado”. This is how, with a contemporary touch, it gives an original voice and style to songs like So in loveby Ricardo Montaner; Words of the soulby Ilan Chester ft Juan Miguel; Louis, by Franco de Vita; Idyll ft. Georgina and Huascar Barradas, among others. “These songs were part of my childhood, my adolescence, even while I was already in Salserín I listened to other music that served as inspiration or reference,” says Velazco, who feels that he inherited his parents’ musical tastes.

With great respect and affection, he expresses himself about the salsa orchestra in which he conquered the youthful public of the nineties when he was only 15 years old. “There are many memories, many memories of this musical stage, of this school that for me that is really what it means. Many of the things that I learned, many of the things that I know today I lived and experienced in this orchestra that gave me the opportunity to get to know many countries, many people, many cultures, a lot of gastronomy “, manifests.

“Thanks to them, I was able to develop a musical career later …”, he adds about Salserín, a group that left songs like From sunrise to sunset, between you and me, a love like ours, among others.

Now René is 38 years old, and at the moment he has released three albums. His mission is to continue building his path as an independent artist and continue singing to his “fans in love” in some countries where they wait for him, while composing new songs of his own. (E)
