“Ranczo” was broadcast on TVP1 in 2006-2009 and 2011-2016. The action took place in the fictional town of Wilkowyje, located near Radzyń Podlaski. In fact, the scenes were filmed mainly in Jerusalem. The roles of Kazimiera and Maciej Solejuk were played by Katarzyna Żak and Sylwester Maciejewski. The married couple had seven children.

Maciej Solejuk was a regular at the shop bench and a hot-tempered person. His wife Kazimiera was a modest and honest country woman. She was famous for making the best dumplings in the commune. She founded her own company selling dumplings and published the book “The best dumplings in the world”.
The couple had one daughter, Katarzyna, and six sons: Marian, Zygmunt, Szymon, Zbigniew, Ryszard and Jan. In the first season of “Rancz”, the role of Jasiek was played by Sebastian Szmigiel.
