Rafa³ Rutkowski bluntly about the Church: he milks the state

Stand-up comedian and actor Rafa³ Rutkowski has a specific opinion about the role of the Church in the lives of Poles.

The topic of the Church in Rutkowski’s conversation with Plejada appeared because of sex. In his stand-ups, the actor talks openly about it, but – as he notes, in general, sex is still not talked about in our country, and young people are even more ashamed than older viewers. – Not much has changed. On the one hand, Poles like funny jokes, on the other – they are very ashamed of them – and then he adds: when I look at the audience, I see that they are as excited as they were 10 years ago, when I performed with “Sex Polski”.

Rutkowski: I hope that we will be able to limit the influence of the Church on our lives

When asked whether right-wing politicians and the Church have a significant influence on the approach to sex in our country, Rutkowski said: Absolutely yes. – We are victims of Catholic culture. People from generation to generation hear that sex is a sin and are ashamed to talk about it out loud. Yet it is one of the basic needs of every human being. It’s an important part of our lives. It’s something as natural as brushing your teeth. Unfortunately, in our country, sex is treated like nobody knows what. And because of this, we cannot talk about it as freely as we would like, he added, continuing:

I hope that we will be able to limit the influence of the Church on our lives. Because it should neither be a political party nor an enterprise that milks the state. The Church should be the Church and nothing more. I regret that this is not the case yet, Rutkowski said in an interview with Plejada.
