This Thursday, FIFA released the new list of the world national team rankings. Even with updates to the top 10, Brazil remains in fifth place and Argentina in first.
The big news was Belgium rising to third place and England falling to fourth, while Portugal rose to sixth place and the Netherlands fell to seventh. Completing the first places, France, Spain, Italy and Croatia did not have their positions changed, in addition to Brazil and Argentina.

In the last break for FIFA Data, the Asian Qualifiers and the final phase of the Concacaf Nations League were played, in addition to several friendlies around the world, as was the case with Brazil, which faced England and Spain.
According to FIFA, these matches “had a considerable influence on the men’s world rankings”. It was also announced that the next update to the list will take place on June 20th, the same day as the start of the Copa América.
In South America, Colombia gained two positions (from 14th to 12th), Peru one (from 33rd to 32nd) and Bolivia also one (from 86th to 85th). Paraguay (56th), Ecuador (31st) and Chile (42nd) did not have their places changed. On the other hand, Uruguay fell four places (from 11th to 15th) and Venezuela two (52nd to 54th).
