‘Robot Dreams’, awarded by the Spanish screenwriters’ union

The film ‘Robot Dreams’, which has reached the Oscars thanks to Bilbao-born Pablo Berger, was awarded this Wednesday by the Spanish screenwriters’ union (Alma) for best comedy feature script.

‘Upon Entry’, from the Basque production company Basque Films, won the Alma award in the dramatic feature film script category, and other winners were the series ‘La Mesías’ (best drama series script), ‘Poquita fe’ (best script comedy series), ‘This excessive ambition’ (best documentary feature script), ‘Amar es para siempre’ (best daily series script), ‘El Intermedio’ (best program script) and ‘Saber y Ganar’ ( best contest script).

The Soul of Honor Award has gone to the negotiating committee of the Writers Guild of America in the American screenwriters’ strike of 2023.
