At the end of February, we met this year’s Polish representative in the Eurovision Song Contest. By the jury’s decision, Luna won the preselections with the song “The Tower”. The 24-year-old singer defeated, among others, Justyna Steczkowska and Edyta Górniak, who took 2nd place in this competition in 1994. The selection of this year’s candidate was made by Kasia Moś, Łukasz Pieter, Michał Hanczak, Konrad Szczęsny and Piotr Klatt, who made their decision based on the studio versions of the submitted songs. Many people wondered how the 24-year-old singer would cope with a live performance.

Last Friday, Luna sang during the “Melfest WKND Pre Party 2024”, which took place before the final of the Swedish pre-selection for Eurovision. Shortly afterwards, a recording of the event, which immortalized the performance of the Polish representative, appeared online. Internet users’ opinions after listening to the song “The Tower” in the live version are strongly divided.
Under the recording shared by the Eurowizjaorg Instagram profile, there were many comments from concerned Internet users: “Day by day I am more and more worried about her promotion… it’s a very average live”, “Well, it doesn’t sound too good live, unfortunately”, “It’s It’s not her style, she doesn’t feel this song…” – they wrote under the video. The comments section also praised the concert performance of the song “The Tower”: “What nonsense are you writing? The girl is great, she feels very comfortable on stage, she is joyful, smiling, moves and sings effortlessly. I think it’s ok , seriously”, “She looks beautiful, you can see she likes to sing”.
