Just a few months ago, Law and Justice politicians were the main guests of programs on TVP Info. After launching the station in a depoliticized version, members of this group successively refuse to participate in any journalistic programs of Telewizja Polska, boycotting the institution, even calling it “Neo-TVP”.
The PiS politician came to TVP Info for an interview. He was asked about his attitude towards Kaczyński and his words
This means that the only opposition party whose members regularly appear in the Polish Television studios is Konfederacja. But that may change soon. An unusual situation took place on Wednesday’s “Guest of the Morning” by TVP Info, because Jacek Włosowicz, a senator from the PiS parliamentary club, was Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz’s guest.
The host immediately started the conversation “off the cuff” because she asked her guest whether Jarosław Kaczyński was a guru for him. The senator was silent for a few seconds, wondering what to say, until he finally replied:
Not having been so closely associated with PiS party life for 12 or 13 years, I can’t say that, said Włosowicz.
Later, the politician started talking about the president of Law and Justice in superlatives, pointing out that he was the only one who proposed a different vision of Poland. However, the host reminded that PiS lost the elections and then asked him whether Jarosław Kaczyński had any doubts at the moment.
Although Włosowicz replied that this was a “far-reaching statement”, without a moment’s hesitation he began to list the party’s mistakes that caused PiS to lose the elections. In his opinion, the election program presented in the campaign was bad, as it “substantively and intellectually did not match our previous proposals.”
We focused on criticizing the other side, not showing what we ourselves want and can propose, admitted the PiS senator.
Next, Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz asked Senator Włosowicz whether he agreed with Jarosław Kaczyński’s statement that a coup d’état was taking place in Poland. He admitted that he did not, to which the host admitted that 4 million more citizens supported a change of power in the country, and Law and Justice gives the impression that these people no longer count.
She also asked about other words of the PiS president, in which he compared Donald Tusk to Adolf Hitler. Włosowicz admitted that he would not subscribe to these words, but at the same time he could not explain why Kaczyński decided to make such statements, because he did not know him that well.

The journalist then confused her guest when she reminded him about the September PiS convention in Kielce, at which he was present. Dobrosz-Oracz quoted Kaczyński’s words: “The Civic Platform is an external party.” Senator Włosowicz then clapped. Now he explained himself by saying:
I do not agree and I still believe that this type of narrative, regardless of the political side, weakens us as politicians, and therefore the entire country. It shows outside that we are incapable of arguing and quarreling. Because it is natural that there are differences of views and programs. But adopting an insulting tone, and in my opinion offensive with a very strong historical reference, is not only not elegant, but shows how far the divisions are and how we can be divided, he said.

The next topics of conversation were the decline in support for PiS and the farmers’ protest. The journalist recalled that farmers and the then opposition were already sounding the alarm in the summer of 2022. After the conversation, TVP Info presenters appeared on the screen and decided to address the PiS senator once again:
