“Thank you for our moments together, not only on the fencing board. You were a great friend and a unique spiritual guide. It’s sad to say goodbye so soon, but well… apparently that was the plan. That’s what you would probably say,” added school representatives.

Marcin Barański was born on January 3, 1971 in Warsaw, the causes and exact date of the 53-year-old’s death are unknown. In 1985, he became famous for his role in the second part of the film story about Mr. Kleks. However, the artist’s paths with the stage and screen diverged. In 1995, he graduated from Computer Science at the Warsaw University of Technology and this is the field he associated his professional life with. He was very interested in spiritual development. He served as vice-chairman of the Diamond Way Buddhist Association of the Karma Kagyu Lineage in Poland. He said that thanks to Buddhism he developed his wisdom and empathy. He quickly stopped just drawing from Buddhism and started teaching it.

“What I like about Buddhism is that it is an extension of my common sense. I don’t have to believe in anything and I can use the Buddhist view of the world in my everyday life. When you adopt the Buddhist point of view, you have no enemies, only patients. Buddhism helps you develop wisdom and compassion in a person, which does not mean that a Buddhist will not punch someone in the teeth when it is the only way to stop someone from doing further stupid things,” Barański said in an interview with Wirtualna Polska in 2016.
