Those of us who love cooking know perfectly well what a nightmare a dirty waffle maker or toaster can be. Cleaning these devices is often almost impossible, so there are more and more ways to help yourself in this matter. In today’s episode of “Myka”, Tomek Pazdyk, interested in the topic, decided to check whether the Internet users’ method actually works. Or maybe it was invented for the sake of clicks and likes?
Dirty waffle maker. Apparently you only need three ingredients to clean it
Inspired by videos on the Internet, we check, so you don’t have to, whether mixing just three ingredients and pouring them into our device will help us clean it. What do you need? Water, baking soda and potato flour. The mass should be quite liquid. Pour the prepared mixture into the waffle maker, set the temperature as if you wanted to bake waffles, close the device and wait. Under the influence of temperature, the mixture should become thick and resemble waffles. After a few minutes, we check whether the trick works or not. Are you curious what came out of it? See for yourself in the latest episode of “Myka”.
What properties does baking soda have?
Baking soda is one of those products that can be used in many ways. Some of us use it for baking and cooking, others – for cleaning. No wonder, because baking soda has many properties. It is a slightly corrosive substance, which makes it perfect for cleaning and will remove even the heaviest dirt. Moreover, it has an alkaline reaction, which neutralizes acids and absorbs unpleasant odors. Therefore, we can also use it, for example, to get rid of unpleasant odors from our shoes. Baking soda also has fermenting and leavening properties, which is useful when cooking when you don’t have yeast or baking powder at hand.
