Micha³ Adamczyk is currently taking a break from working on television. However, he did not appear at the last hearing regarding alimony for his daughter. His ex-wife, Agnieszka Piechurska, appeared in court. Her lawyer said that the former TVP star filed a motion to keep the hearing secret and called his colleagues from his former job as witnesses in this case.

Micha³ Adamczyk has been associated with Telewizja Polska since 2001, and for the vast majority of that period with “Wiadomosci”. However, he managed to make a real career after 2015, when the so-called good change. He then became one of the hosts of the main edition of the daily, and in April 2023 he was appointed head of the Television Information Agency.

It disappeared from the air before changes in public media, in September 2023. It was related to a reportage about his inglorious past that appeared in . The text shows that the former TVP star beat his lover and used psychological violence against her years ago, for which he was legally convicted by the court. Despite the verdict, no punishment was imposed.

In the atmosphere of the scandal, Adamczyk did not return to the air, but as the head of TAI, he was one of the “defenders of freedom of speech” when changes in the public media began as a result of the decision of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz. The unconstitutionally established National Media Council, which is dominated by PiS members, even appointed Adamczyk as the president of Telewizja Polska. However, its “function” lasted for a short time, only until mid-January 2024.

Now there is talk behind the scenes that the former presenter of TVP’s “Wiadomości” will run in the European Parliament elections on behalf of Law and Justice. However, in recent months, Michał Adamczyk has also had other things on his mind. On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, another hearing was held between him and his second wife, Agnieszka Piechurska, with whom he is in an alimony dispute.

Piechurska is of the opinion that despite Michał Adamczyk’s growing earnings, he did not increase the amount of alimony for their 17-year-old daughter. The first hearing was supposed to take place in September 2023, but Adamczyk presented a medical certificate, which he also used to explain his absence on TVP. However, the former head of TAI also has other arguments regarding alimony.

He believes that he has a good relationship with his daughter and supports her financially. His representative issued a statement explaining that Piechurska expects PLN 6,000. PLN per month per child, and the currently awarded amount is PLN 2.4 thousand. zlotys. The hearing in this case took place on February 7, but Adamczyk, instead of appearing in court, connected via the Internet. Agnieszka Piechurska was present in the court, but the media could not attend the hearing.

The court ordered, at the defendant’s request, that the hearing be kept secret. He conducts evidentiary proceedings in this case. No settlement talks took place. Currently, the security is the agreed alimony (for Michał Adamczyk’s minor daughter) in the amount of PLN 2,400 per month. We expect the amount to be PLN 6,000. zloty. For now, we have submitted an application to increase alimony to PLN 4,000. PLN, which was not accepted by the defendant (i.e. Michał Adamczyk – editor’s note). At this point, the court has recognized the claim for PLN 1,000. PLN 500 – said the plaintiff’s lawyer, Tymoteusz Paprocki, in an interview with ‘Fakt’.

Further hearings will be held in the near future, during which witnesses will be questioned. Adamczyk was to appoint his colleagues from the so-called national media. The courtroom will include, among others: Marcin Tulicki (former deputy director of TAI and one of the co-creators of the homophobic film “Invasion”), or Samuel Pereira (former head of TVP). The verdict in this case is to be issued a few months before Michał Adamczyk’s daughter reaches the age of majority, i.e. in October.
