“Commissioner Alex” hit the screens in 2011 and immediately became one of the biggest series hits on Polish Television. The production lasted 20 seasons, during which various actors played the role of the title character’s guardian. For the first three years, viewers could watch Jakub Wesołowski on screen, who then gave way to Antoni Pawlicki. Later, Krystian Wieczorek and Wojciech Czerwiński acted as subsequent commissioners. In 2023, Jacek Knap joined the production, but now he also decided to say goodbye to “Commissioner Aleks”.

The actor has already said goodbye to his colleagues. “Hang in there, Piotrek. I’m on my way. Take care of Sylwia, Monika and Janusz” – We read in Knap’s post on Instagram. However, the actor did not address his statement to Beata Fido. However, there are speculations in the media about the actress’s alleged departure from the cast of the series.
According to reports from Super Express, the role of the new commissioner will be played by Marcin Rogacewicz, an actor known from such productions as “Na dobre i na evil” and “Przyjaciółki”. The next season of “Commissioner Alex” will air on Polish Television in spring 2024. It is not yet known how the current commissioner will say goodbye to the series. What is certain, however, is that viewers will see Jacek Knap again in the first two episodes of the 21st series.
