The regional branches of TVP3, like the entire Polish Television, are undergoing a process of partisan separation. The new head of the Poznań editorial office, Jan Józefowski, reinstates those dismissed under Jacek Kurski.

Jan Józefowski took over the helm of TVP3 Poznań at the end of January. He began his government by restoring journalists and employees who had lost their jobs during Jacek Kurski’s times. Józefowski explains on social media who was removed for what and what he will do now.

“There is not a second to lose in building the quality and resilience of Polish democracy,” wrote Jan Józefowski, the new head of the regional television channel TVP3 Poznań, at the end of January. Tomasz Sygut entrusted him with the mission of creating this branch anew, and Józefowski started by restoring employees dismissed in sometimes absurd circumstances.

. The weather forecaster dared to appear on the show with the characteristic heart of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, for which she paid for it with a position overnight. The then director of TVP3 Poznań, Agata Ławniczak, explained the decision by supporting competition. The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity was already a banned topic in Poland. The orchestra was “supported” by TVN and any support for the nationwide charity campaign was considered on Telewizja Polska as acting on its behalf. Kasperczak lost her job, but under the new government she was reinstated: “Patrycja was removed from the air three years ago for appearing in a bad mood with a heart from the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Thank you for coming back to the air,” the new director wrote on the day of the final.

Józefowski also reinstated other dismissed employees. Robert Chodyła returns to TVP3 as the host of the “Teleskop” news service:

He was fired in 2017 for being independent and following the rules of the workshop. He didn’t fit in then, but he’s invaluable to us. He returned to TVP Poznań and from today he will run the “Teleskop” news service. I’m sorry, Robert, for how the previous management treated you. Welcome home! – Józefowski wrote on social media.

He also announced the reinstatement of Beata Mes as head of information and journalism:

Released in 2016. She supervised the workshop, the rules, she worked on reporters, everyone knew that no mediocre news would pass because Mecha would bite off heads for mediocrity. That’s why she returns after eight years as the head of information and journalism. Welcome home, Mecha! – he wrote.
