The Opener organizers are gradually revealing the cards regarding the line-up of the 21st edition of the event. An entry was published on the festival’s official Facebook profile, revealing new artists. This time we are talking about an alternative rock quartet that will perform on the main stage at the Gdynia-Kosakowo airport on July 3, 2024. For the Italian band, it will be the fifth performance in front of the Polish audience in their career and the second one during the Open’er.
The Maneskin band was founded in 2016 by four school friends. Vocalist, bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio are still members of the band. They gained fame in Italy thanks to the 11th edition of “X-Factor”, in which they took 2nd place. After the program ended, they released the EP “Chosen”, and then made their debut on the recording market with the album “Il ballo della vita”. A real breakthrough in their career was the 65th Eurovision Song Contest, of which they won. On the wave of popularity, they released another album, “Teatro d’ira: Vol. I”, which went platinum in just a week. They promoted it with hits such as “I Wanna Be Your Slave” and “For Your Love”, which are still topping the charts. In 2023, they released another album, “Rush”, which was no less successful, becoming number one in several countries around the world.

As more stars of this year’s edition are revealed, interest in tickets increases. These went on regular sale on October 10, 2023 and will be available until June 10, 2024, unless the stock runs out earlier. What immediately catches your attention are the prices, which are much higher than in previous years. A four-day pass costs PLN 1,039, and the same option with an additional camping site is PLN 1,305. The situation is similar in the case of weekend tickets (Friday and Saturday) – for the variant with a camping site you have to pay PLN 935, and without it PLN 739. The ticket price for one day is PLN 495.
