Endocrinologist Pavlova criticized the treatment of obese patients with surgery

Endocrinologist Zukhra Pavlova called the treatment of obese patients through surgery radical methods. This is how the doctor responded to the information that in Russia the problem of obesity is increasingly being solved with the help of surgical interventions.

The specialist admitted in her Telegram channel that there are indeed more and more patients with obesity. However, as Pavlova noted, there are many treatment options for obesity, including various medications, sports and physical activity. The endocrinologist approves operations only in those cases “when the problem cannot be solved by conservative methods or life-threatening conditions have developed and it is dangerous to postpone.”

However, in her opinion, in most cases we are talking about laziness of people. “It’s easier this way: cut it off, sew it up, go through the rehabilitation period, and now you’re slim and beautiful,” the doctor laments, warning that “it doesn’t work,” since excess weight can return even more if you don’t change your lifestyle .

Pavlova considers sports to be an excellent prevention and treatment of obesity. She also advocated teaching obese patients the importance of exercise. Then in most cases it will not come to pumping out the fat and suturing the stomach, the expert concluded.

Previously, the doctor revealed how many cups of tea a day slow down aging.
