TVP demands PLN 1.3 million from the former heads of TAI. Adamczyk claims that it is an “attempt to underestimate losses”

The atmosphere on TVP is still hot. The company’s liquidator has just sent a pre-court summons to the former directors of TAI, demanding payment of PLN 1.3 million in compensation. The subject of the dispute are losses resulting from illegal activities that prevented the station from implementing programs and fulfilling advertising contracts. Micha³ Adamczyk and Samuel Pereira have already spoken.

On December 20, 2023, the Minister of Culture, Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz, announced the dismissal of the supervisory boards of SA, Polskie Radio SA and the Polish Press Agency, thereby appointing new presidents to these positions. He justified his decision with the resolution of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland of December 19, 2023 on restoring order and integrity to the public media. However, the changes were not recognized by the then directors of the Television Information Agency, which initiated a protest.

How much do Adamczyk, Pereira and Tulicki owe TVP? The company’s liquidator calls on them to pay compensation

In response to the change in the management board, the three directors of TAI: Samuel Pereira and Marcin Tulicki began illegally blocking access to the infrastructure of the building located at Plac Powstańców Warszawy, under which, among others, actively protested. Law and Justice politicians. For this reason, from December 20 to 29, the station could not broadcast programs on TVP Info and TVP3, thus suffering financial losses. However, this did not end the battle, because the mentioned managers occupied the TAI headquarters for less than a month.

Daniel Gorgorsz, appointed by the Minister of Culture as the company’s liquidator, issued a pre-court summons to the directors dismissed under disciplinary action to pay compensation in the amount of over PLN 1.3 million along with interest. As he explained in the justification, this is the equivalent of the losses the station suffered due to “the inability to provide advertising and sponsorship services.” The former heads of TAI have 14 days to settle the payment, after which the case will be taken to court.

In the same letter, the company’s liquidator emphasized that these are not all the claims that Telewizja Polska has against Adamczyk, Pereira and Tulicki. As he explains, their actions resulted in a number of different consequences, exposing the company not only to financial damage, but also to its image. Their value is currently being determined, which “will become the subject of separate calls.”

Michał Adamczyk comments on the claims of the TVP liquidator. Strong words were spoken

According to , Micha³ Adamczyk has already managed to respond to the claims made by Daniel Gorgrosz on behalf of TVP SA. He emphasizes, however, that under the law the summons is not binding because it was issued by a non-existent entity. Let us recall that in January 2024, the District Court in Warsaw dismissed the application to put the Polish Radio and Polish Television into liquidation. It is this decision that he refers to. – The main perpetrators of the damage caused to the company are usurpers, including a signed, non-existent, alleged liquidator – he said.

At the same time, he stated that the claim amount was an obvious attempt to understate the true value of the losses. – I treat the given amount of approximately PLN 1.3 million as an attempt to underestimate the amount of losses, a clumsy attempt made by the perpetrators themselves. I assure you that SA will seek full compensation, Adamczyk said. His former deputy, Samuel Pereira, also spoke, fully supporting his position. “Turning the cat back,” he added eloquently.
