Many people give up making them at home because they think that making the dough, stuffing and frying it is very difficult and time-consuming. Nothing could be further from the truth. With this recipe you will make delicious ones in a short time.

Recipe for quick donuts. Pay attention to one ingredient

The donut recipe is not complicated at all. To prepare them you need the following ingredients:

  • 1300 g cake flour + additional 3 tablespoons for leavening,
  • 125 butter,
  • 100 g of yeast,
  • 5 eggs,
  • 0.5 l of milk,
  • 3/4 cup of sugar,
  • Additionally: oil for frying, marmalade or jam for stuffing, powdered sugar for sprinkling the donuts.

When buying ingredients needed to make donuts, pay attention to the type of flour. The best choice will be wheat cake flour type 450. It is light and delicate, so it will not weigh down the dough. This will make it soft and fluffy. If you use a higher type of flour, it may make the dough too heavy.

How to make delicious donuts? They will come out light and crispy

First, make the leaven, also called leaven. Crumble the yeast in a bowl, add warm milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar and 3 tablespoons of flour. Mix and leave in a warm place for 15 minutes. After this time, mix the leaven with the remaining amount of flour. Beat eggs with sugar and add to the mixture. Melt the butter and also combine it with the mass. Make the dough. Knead long and thoroughly, about 15 minutes. Cover the dough with a cloth and set aside in a warm place for an hour. Then it will grow beautifully. Cut out a circle, spread each of them with a spoon of marmalade and seal them. Flatten the donuts and leave them covered with a cloth for fifteen minutes. Heat the oil and start frying the donuts. After frying, place them on a paper towel and finally sprinkle with powdered sugar. If you want the donuts to be less fatty, add 3 teaspoons of spirit to the dough. Thanks to this, the dough will be lighter, the donuts will not absorb fat as much, and they will also have a very crispy skin.
