Carlos Sainz wins the Dakar Rally for the fourth time

Carlos Sainz (Audi) has conquered the 2024 Dakar Rally in carshis fourth ‘Touareg’ and the first for the German brand, after completing an almost seamless rally in which he knew how to deal with a tough and demanding course and overcome the problems that caused his great rivals.
Sainz, without winning any stage, has been the most consistent driverthe best navigator and, with a high pace and driving speed, wins this 2024 Dakar Rally, the fourth for him after the victories in 2010, 2018 and 2020.
Guillaume de Mevius (Overdrive) finished second in the general classification and Sebastien Loeb (Bahrain) third.
In the motorcycle category, American Ricky Brabec (Honda) won the title for the second time in his careerafter having also won it in 2020.
Second overall was Botswana Ross Branch (Hero)while the French Adrien van Beveren (Honda) finished third.
