A few months ago, we informed that the foundation managed by Father Tadeusz Rydzyk had recorded a significant drop in revenues. The value of donations has also dropped significantly. And they have been the most important source of its profits for years. It turns out that Father Rydzyk has another reason to worry. As we learn from media reports, the controversial priest will probably have to return a huge sum of money.
Will Father Rydzyk have to return the money?
The Father Tadeusz Rydzyk Academy of Social and Media Culture will have to return funding for the creation of one of its courses. Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, head of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, recently announced the reasons for this decision on the X platform. It concerns a certificate from the parish priest, which the school required from student candidates.
“By decision of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, the Academy of Social and Media Culture in Toruń (Lux Veritatis) will return funding for the creation of the ‘Media Informatics’ course. A truly bizarre violation – a necessary condition for admission to the studies was a certificate from the parish priest,” Pełczyńska-Nałęcz informed on the X platform .
Rector of Rydzyk University: We have received consent for implementation
It is worth mentioning that the rector of the Academy of Social and Media Culture, Father Zdzisław Klafka, commented on the ministry’s decision in an interview with the Polish Press Agency. – The media informatics project was a project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the university entered into this project. We received permission to implement it and it was rated very highly. We met all the conditions, he said. Klafka also added that the ministry, under Jarosław Gowin, accepted such an arrangement.
