Royal Mail (the British Post) will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Spice Girls with a special edition of stamps that collects some of their stellar moments. The company announced the sale of a collection of 15 units, which also marks the first time that a complete edition has been dedicated to a female band, as explained in a statement.

When we formed the Spice Girls we couldn’t even dream that 30 years later we would be the first girl group to which an entire collection of stamps is dedicated,” the band said, according to the note. The Spice Girls rose to instant fame with their first single ‘Wannabe’, which topped the charts in 37 countries, and was followed by successes like “Say You’ll Be There”, “Who Do You Think You Are” or “Spice Up Your Life”.
