This is the result of the release from copyright of the first image of Mickey Mouse in 1928. Less than 24 hours had passed when it was announced that the world would get a horror game, a computer game with slasher elements and its own NFT with the first Mouse.
The production of “Mickey Mouse Trap” is almost complete. The filmmakers are still waiting for a distributor willing to cooperate, but they plan to show their “work” in March. It will be a classic film about a serial killer in the mask of THIS Mickey Mouse, who organizes a bloodbath for a group of young people – a scenario known and liked for years, it was recently repeated in “Five Nights of Nightmare” and “Pooh: Blood and Honey”. Director Jamie Bailey stated that the combination of horror and funny Mickey Mouse was so absurd that they couldn’t not make this movie:
We had a lot of fun with it. Just think – Mickey Mouse from “Steamboat Willie” murders people. It’s absurd. We got into it and had a great time, which can be seen on the screen – he said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
The Mickey Mouse business is just getting started
The horror movie is just one of the first official steps in using the classic Mickey image. Although Disney has done everything it can over the years to delay the release of Mouse from copyright, after January 1, 2024, you can do almost anything with it.
