Nowadays, a middle name has almost no function, unlike in the old days

In the past, a middle name did not have the same function as it does today. It was more like a name or nickname. Those who read the Bible carefully may come across an interesting passage: which shows that Jesus Christ had a middle name.

Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel, for God is with us.

– we can read in the prophecy of Isaiah (Is 7:14).

The name Jesus itself in the original Hebrew version is Yeshua and is translated as “Yahweh is the help, the savior.” Emmanuel means “God is with us.” These are the names that appear in the Holy Scriptures in the context of the Messiah.
