Can working on the set of an adult comedy be dangerous? It turns out that yes. Two such situations happened to Glenn Powell and Sydney Sweeney while filming “Just Not You”. The actors talked about it in an interview for Today.
What happened on the set of “Just Not You”?
The first of these situations occurred while filming a scene that took place right at the edge of a cliff. According to the script, the main character had to take off his clothes in a hurry. This didn’t work out particularly well for Glenn Powell, however. “It’s not safe to get undressed on the edge of a cliff in a hurry. No one on set talked about this detail about how to stay safe at that moment, so I almost died falling off the cliff because I took my pants off too quickly. But it’s a cool scene, so it was it’s worth it,” the actor reported.
A dangerous situation also happened to Sydney Sweeney, who was bitten by a spider while filming another scene. The actress admitted that they worked all day to get the right shot. “That spider bit me, so that was the problem. Then there’s this moment when Glen leans down and I check to see if there are any more spiders on him. Let’s just say this: I know Glen really, really well now,” she said. Producers present on the set initially suspected that the actress was only pretending to have been bitten. Only her film partner noticed that Sweeney was actually suffering. “She had a different tone of voice, that’s how I knew she had actually been bitten.”
