Donald Tusk announced changes in public media during the election campaign. When it became clear that Mateusz Morawiecki would not be able to obtain a vote of confidence from the Sejm, discussions began about the future fate of TVP journalists. Media expert Krzysztof Grzegorzewski from the University of Łódź in an interview with Gazeta.pl emphasized that changes in staff are necessary.

“The person who runs the news program is inextricably associated with it and takes responsibility for everything that happens in it. He endorses the daily with his face, name, behavior, voice – everything,” he emphasized. “These people need to be thrown out because they are extremely unreliable,” he added.
According to information obtained by Gazeta.pl, no one fired her, who was undoubtedly the face of TVP propaganda for years. The decision to leave the position of presenter of the main edition of “Wiadomości” was to be made by herself. She wanted to leave without unnecessary publicity, but her decision was met with an extremely enthusiastic reaction. There was even an event on Facebook in which website users declared their willingness to watch the latest issue of “Wiadomości” with Holecka.
“Definitely bad” – 31.8 percent of respondents assessed Holecka this way
The initiative, judging by the entries and the ironic tone of its description, is not an expression of sympathy for the journalist, but rather an ironic manifestation of satisfaction with the fact that changes will take place at TVP. The audience’s attitude towards Danuta Holecka was commissioned by United Surveys, and the results speak for themselves.
“How do you rate the reliability and professionalism of Danuta Holecka, the main presenter of News on TVP and the head of News?” – was the question in the survey. As many as 31.8 percent of respondents answered “definitely bad”. The counter-answer “definitely good” was given by only 11.3 percent of respondents. The respondents who marked “rather good” (19.6%) and “rather bad” (13.8%) were less extreme in their opinions. Quite a large group asked to comment was unable to clearly evaluate Holecka’s actions. Every fourth respondent marked the answer “I don’t know”.
According to the survey, Holecka’s work was rated the worst by voters of the Civic Coalition, the Left and Third Way. The best – PiS and Konfederacja. After adding up the respondents’ votes, it turns out that almost half (45.6 percent) perceive the journalist’s work negatively.
