For the second year in a row, Polsat’s New Year’s Eve will be organized on the mars fields under the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów. Even earlier, stars performed at the Silesian Stadium. In the past, Polsat also organized events in Katowice, Gdynia and Warsaw.
Who will perform on New Year’s Eve at Polsat? A few names for now
Although Polsat has not yet officially confirmed any of the performers, some have already announced that they will appear in Chorzów. Such information can be found in the “concerts” tab on the Golec uOrkiestra website. In an interview with “Fakt”, Doda and Piotr Kupicha and the Feel band confirmed their participation. Plotek reported, in turn, that although Maryla Rodowicz appeared on stage in Chorzów last year, on December 31, 2023, she would play at an event organized by TVP. The singer confirmed that she received a contract from TVP regarding the event many months ago. Joanna Hodera from Rodowicz management told Wirtualne Media that the contract has not been signed yet.
Every year, both Polsat and TVP invite not only Polish but also foreign bands. Michael Patrick Kelly, who gained popularity in his family band The Kelly Family, appeared on this first station during last year’s event. Mel C. was supposed to appear on Polish Television, but the singer canceled the performance. Finally, on New Year’s Eve, he replaced it with Mel C’s decision, which was motivated by the actions of Polish politicians associated with the ruling camp towards the LGBT+ community.
The last “New Year’s Eve Power of Hits” at midnight attracted a total of four million viewers to three stations (Polsat, Polsat News and Polsat 2). This is slightly less than the Public Television concert, which, according to Nielsen data presented by Wirtualne Media, was watched by an average of 4.43 million people. “New Year’s Eve” was shown on TVP2 and TVP Polonia.
