The report ‘Relevance of natural gas in the Peruvian economy and its potential contribution to reducing poverty’, prepared by Centrum PUCP for the Peruvian Hydrocarbons Society (SPH), simulates the massive replacement of LPG with natural gas for the period 2023-2030 , a year in which national residential coverage of 62% would be achieved.
The document recommends promoting collaboration between the public and private sectors to promote the expansion of natural gas in Peru, which could “include PPPs for the development of infrastructure and the promotion of investments in the sector.”
