In 2016, a series debuted entitled , original production of CANAL+. There was no end to the delights. This was a new deal when it comes to domestic thriller series. An original main character, a very engaging story, accumulating secrets and a very believable collective portrait of the community of a small town. At the same time, viewers looked at themselves in “Belfr” as in a mirror and were fascinated by criminal mysteries. It is safe to say that the day at work started with coffee and discussing what happened in “Belfr”. Those who they caught up on watching the episodes at night and came to the office sleepy. However, they claimed it was worth it. The viewers’ opinions were 100% confirmed by the critics, who wrote that “The Teacher” was an excellent job.
A detective and teacher in one person
It started like this. Paweł Zawadzki, a Polish teacher from Warsaw, comes to work in the small town of Dobrowice. Right at the beginning it turns out that a 17-year-old girl died there under mysterious circumstances. The teacher joins the investigation on his own. He does not know yet that this matter will affect his future.
Maciej Stuhr, the main actor, emphasizes in interviews that when he started reading the script of the first series of “Belfra”, he couldn’t tear himself away from it. The same feeling was shared by the audience, who found the series “unputdownable” until the very end.
Trouble is his specialty
“Belfer 3” begins when Paweł Zawadzki – played, of course, by Maciej Stuhr – is released from prison. His father, Bogdan Zawadzki (Jacek Koman), is waiting for him at the gate. The action of the series takes place in Paweł’s hometown, Ma³omorze.

“I don’t remember when I lost the sense of what home is. In my imagination, I browse through an endless number of books, poems and songs, able to capture better than I will ever be able to, what makes us call a place home. We, people, disappointments, memories, or maybe scars? I returned to Ma³omoria to get back on my feet,” says Paweł Zawadzki in a short monologue opening the third series of “Belfra”. A Polish teacher has good intuition. Troubles find him even on the northern edge of Poland. However, maybe it will stay there for longer. Will there no longer be an eternal wanderer wandering around the country?
Paweł, through the intercession of his father, called “Captain” in Małomorskie, gets a job at a local high school. Problems are already lurking on the doorstep. His father persuades him to go on a cruise with him and the graduating class, which Paweł was tutored on, on the sailing ship “Captain Borchardt”. He warns his son, saying: this generation is too delicate. The cruise ends tragically. Kacper Krynicki, the son of a local businessman, mysteriously disappears from the ship. Shortly before the cruise, the boy saw a brutal murder and recorded it on his phone. A shadow of suspicion falls on Belfr’s father. The atmosphere thickens from episode to episode. What happened to Kacper? Is he really dead? Some circumstantial evidence indicates that he was not murdered.
A small sea full of crimes
An investigation begins, led by Assistant Commissioner Ewa Krawiec (Roma Gąsiorowska), Paweł Zawadzki’s former love. Initially, the police suspect that Kacper committed suicide. Then further hypotheses appear. Suspicions are mounting and the investigation is spreading wider and wider. Paweł, a born teacher, tunes in to his students like a sensitive instrument, bringing out what is deeply hidden in them. During his private investigation regarding Kacper, Paweł also gets to the bottom of matters relating to his family history.

It turns out that Bogdan Zawadzki, very respected in the Little Maritime community, was very friendly with Kacper. His relationship with the boy’s parents was also quite complicated.
Kacper’s father, Waldemar Krynicki (Miros³aw Baka), runs a jewelry salon in Ma³omorze. He is also associated with mafia activities. He is a ruthless man who stops at nothing when he wants to achieve a goal.
Local policemen are also involved in dirty deeds. Commander Zbigniew Molak (Marek Kalita) is a manipulator and careerist who operates on two fronts. What Molak does torpedoes Ewa Krawiec’s investigation. And she wants to find out at all costs who killed Kacper Krynicki, a close friend of her daughter, Ada.
Young people on set
Both series of “Belfr” promoted new, young and very talented actors, including: Sandra Drzymalska and Eliza Rycembel. In the third series, young people also play a key role. The world of high school students reflects what is happening among adults like a mirror. The director of this part of “Belfr”, Łukasz Grzegorzek, excellently guided the young artists. In addition to Michael Zieliñski as the outsider Kacper, these include: Wiktoria Kruszczyñska and Hubert Mi³kowski. Wiktoria played Ada, a policewoman’s daughter, and Hubert played her boyfriend, Bartek, a drug addict.

The last, eighth episode will be available on October 20 on CANAL+ online. The action rushes forward. Paweł Zawadzki is in real danger, just like his students. How will this exciting criminal intrigue be resolved? Will Paweł finally settle in a quiet place and break away from his turbulent life?
Criminal and idyllic atmosphere
Extremely atmospheric photos for the series “Belfer III”, authored by Weronika Bilska, were taken in picturesque seaside landscapes and on the deck of a sailing ship. Viewers will recognize them, among others: quiet streets of Ustka. The unique atmosphere of “Belfer III” is also due to, among others, music by Piotr “Emade” Waglewski.
