Private, exclusive concerts or corporate events are most often events on which the organizers spend considerable amounts of money. It turns out that the costs for an intimate performance by a professional DJ may seem exorbitant to some. Some time ago, Dymitr Błaszczyk from the “Sprawdzam Jak” channel on YouTube decided to check what specific amounts we were talking about.
How much do professional DJs earn at small concerts?
Some time ago, Dymitr from the “Sprawdzam Jak” channel decided to find out how much stars such as Doda, Beata Kozidrak and Ewa Farna earn from intimate concerts. This time in his sights the most popular DJs. The host of the YouTube channel decided to call several people, pretending that he was going to organize an event for his company and was interested in a performance by musical celebrities. The rates and additional conditions described by the stars’ managers surprised him greatly.
PLN 35,000 for 45 minutes of work
When the name of a given DJ is already known and he has taken care of the recognition of his image, he can afford quite high rates, as Dymitr Błaszczyk from the “Sprawdzam Jak” channel found out. After making several calls to music managers of celebrities, it turned out that their earnings for one performance could reach several dozen thousand zlotys. The video posted on the channel shows that:
- DJ Adamus – earns PLN 15,000. PLN for 1.5 hours,
- Kalwi and Remi – 14 thousand PLN for 35-45 minutes or PLN 20,000. PLN with additional attractions, such as artificial smoke, confetti and pyrotechnics,
- Gromee – earns as much as PLN 22,000. PLN for a performance with a vocalist, and PLN 28,000. PLN for a performance with a vocalist, drummer and guitarist, but accommodation must be provided,
- Tribbs – 30-35 thousand. PLN for 45 minutes, provided that accommodation in a minimum 4-star hotel is provided for him and the entire team.
Taking into account Internet users’ comments posted under the video, for many people these rates seem much too high. “As the company’s management, I would rather play a YouTube DJ and spend the money on an orphanage or a shelter,” wrote one of the users. Another added: “You are surprised how much money it is, how expensive it is and so on, but it has long been known that it is absurd. In this industry, anything is possible.”
