On Sunday, September 17, another episode of the entertainment program “Cabaret Live. Young and Moral” was broadcast on Polsat. Famous cabaret artists appeared on stage, as well as… Doda, who welcomed the head of our state, parodied by Paweł Koślik, to the presidential office.

Paweł Koślik is known to cabaret fans from “The President’s Ear”. The actor played Adrian, the president of Poland, in a well-known series parodying the government’s actions. At Polsat, he had the opportunity to return to the role in the series “Z Andrzej na skiing”.
The skit titled “Police” began with a performance by . The artist did not change the industry, she appeared in the program to advertise her own – “Doda. Dream Show”, which has recently been broadcast on Polsat. The singer sat in a crown behind the president’s desk in his office and told the owner of the office that she would soon be the head of state. “Everyone tells me I should be president,” she said.

The main theme of the skit, however, was not Doda’s visit, but the three policemen to whom the president was to deliver a speech. Unfortunately, he mixed up the cards and gave a speech addressed to firefighters. “When flames wake me up at night, I am not afraid,” the president began. “Andrzej, this is not the guard, this is the police,” his concerned wife informed him.
The panicked president said a few words in English to the police and ran with his wife to his desk to find a speech appropriate for the occasion. It turned out that the sheets of paper with the content of the skit’s hero’s speeches were mixed up by the wind. However, Andrzej’s wife did not hide her anger towards her partner. “But sometimes you also listen to what you say. Not only do you not read what you sign, but you also don’t listen to what you say,” the first lady said in an accusatory tone, which was a clear reference to the current president, who is often called “pen”.

As the policemen waited for his speech, the president tore up more old notes that did not fit the occasion. These included the famous words “I’m still learning” and a fictitious speech at the beginning of the school year. After reading another note written by the president, the wife of the head of state notes that some of his statements are contradictory. Koślik’s character could not ignore these words. “I am the president of all Poles. What will I do if everyone wants to hear something different?!” – the president became excited, referring in his statement to Andrzej Duda’s popular election slogan.
However, this is not the end of the cabaret’s mockery of the government. When the president noticed that the highest-ranking policeman was also the tallest, he announced that “our situation is a little different.” The joke undoubtedly referred to Jarosław Kaczyński’s height and position. The parody also referred to accusations against Andrzej Duda that he did not follow the principles set out in the constitution. At the end of the scene, the president picked up a piece of paper from his desk with his swearing-in speech. “I swear to uphold the constitution. So help me God!” – Koślik read, then tore up the paper and decided that the words written on it were also no longer valid. The skit can be watched via the Polsat Go platform.
