The 32-year-old from Bangladesh is being held in the Korydallos maximum security prison in Piraeus. He pleaded not guilty. Mec. Jarosław Kowalewski, representing Anastasia’s mother, stressed in an interview with the naTemat website that there is no trial date yet. “I have contacted a lawyer who is on site in Greece. We are still dealing with pre-trial proceedings. There is no trial date yet. As far as I know, not much is happening. This trial has not yet started. The Bangladeshi is still in in custody. He still pleads not guilty,” he explained. As he predicts, “proceedings in court will last about a year. Certainly it will be at least several months.”

The cops have evidence

As you know, the police have hard evidence against the accused. As reported by the Greek portal dimokratia.gr, investigators managed to get to the messages sent by the 32-year-old. The man previously wiped the data, but experts managed to recover it. He was supposed to contact his colleagues who live in Italy. “I did something terrible and I have to leave Greece,” he wrote in one of the messages.
