Pedro Sánchez, acting President of the Governmenthas gone this morning (Tuesday, September 4) to the burning chapel, in Tres Cantos (Madrid), where the body of what was the ‘queen of the morning’ for years, María Teresa Campos. The mythical journalist died Tuesday at 5:25 a.m. at the Jiménez Díaz Foundation due to respiratory failure.

The president had a close relationship with Campos, they even maintained contact “at times when he suffered the most from the disease.” I can’t say that she was a friend, explains the current president to the media, “but we did have a very recurring communication where we exchanged opinions and where she gave me a lot of her opinion”.

“She always showed me to be a endearing woman and committed to her time and orn referent that transcends the world of communication itself. Because she was an absolutely versatile woman who set an example in many things. She always raised the flag of commitment and respect, “says the president, emphasizing her figure when it comes to being a female reference.

But not only did it break glass ceilings -he adds- but it also broke “many communication schemes, innovating in programs and representing many generations that we approached the screen to see it”.

On behalf of the entire Government, Pedro Sánchez has assured that he can only thank her and show affection for her and her entire family: “Thank you for so much, because you did a lot of good to Spanish society.”
