800 plus not for everyone? These people will not receive benefits
The government has adopted a bill, according to which it will be indexed from the new year. This means that from January 1, 2024, parents can count not on 500, but on 800 plus. However, it turns out that not everyone. Of course, the benefit is not payable to children who have turned 18, but that’s not all. Who else won’t benefit? According to the portal, money is not due when:
- the application for the benefit is submitted with a delay (from June 1 to May 31 of the following year, applications for the next period are submitted),
- parents or guardians begin to receive an allowance or other similar benefit for the child outside Poland,
- the child will go to a care and educational institution, a foster family or a detention center.
In addition, it cannot be counted on by parents whose underage child starts to receive a benefit for their own child, gets married, or starts education in a military school or facility that ensures full maintenance.
Since when 800 plus? Possible payment delays
The 800 plus benefit is to be paid from January 2024. However, it may happen that due to technical reasons, the Social Insurance Institution will not be able to make timely transfers to all . In this case, some will receive them for the first time only in the following month, but no later than February 29, 2024. Of course, due to the delay and the lack of the first payment in January, the February one will be increased by it. In turn, from March, beneficiaries can count on timely payments.
