We hear more and more often about the rapid development of AI in recent years. Artificial intelligence can be used in energy, banking, medicine and entertainment. Not so long ago, Marvel fans were outraged that the opening credits for the latest MCU series “Secret Invasion” were created by AI. However, on the web we can find much more recordings by artificial intelligence, which generates new worlds at an express pace.
“Harry Potter in Poland”. Tracksuits, vodka and cursing
On the SwoleAI channel on YouTube, we will find video materials in which pop culture heroes collide with a completely new reality. The recordings show the Russians visited by Spider-Man, the visualization of the series “Breaking Bad” in France or Harry Potter studying in America, where Keanu Reeves plays the role of Professor Snape.
However, the recording referring to the reality in Poland caused controversy. Or rather, for the interpretation of life in our country generated by AI. A film entitled “Harry Potter and the Alcoholic’s Kidney Stone” appeared on the SwoleAI channel, filled with stereotypes about Poles who are always drunk. In the “Polish” version of the young wizard’s adventures, the friendly Hagrid looks much more menacing. Dressed in a scruffy track suit, he brusquely addresses the boy, “F**k, you’re a wizard, Harry,” displaying his lush chest hair.
“Harry Potter in Poland” caused extreme reactions. “Stereotypes from 30 years ago”
Harry Potter wears a tracksuit with three stripes and an equally combative expression. A similar attitude and style of dress is chosen by Ron and Hermione, who whenever she appears on the screen asks for a bottle of vodka. Professor Snape with dark circles under his eyes conducts classes in the “alcohol class” here, and the most frequently repeated word in the recording is of course “fuck”.
The video divided viewers. More jokes appeared under the film, and even alternative titles for the film, such as “The Order of the Three Stripes Tracksuit” or “Philosophical Moonshine”. “Mastership”, “perfect film” “Snape like Maleńczuk” – we read in the comments. However, the video has also received criticism. Viewers noticed that the recording was full of harmful stereotypes. “Stereotypes about Poland from 30 years ago, cool, not too current”, “it’s probably more Russian reality”, “we don’t wear tracksuits so often” – the viewers write.
