There is no shortage of extreme emotions, especially when big money is at stake. It happens that stress and the desire to win cause the participants to make some minor mistakes and slip-ups. This happens less often to presenters, although even the most experienced presenters have several on their account.
A mishap in “Millionaires”. Hubert Urbański misread one of the answers?
According to the viewers, in the 578th episode, it was the host, who made a big mistake, thus leading to the premature end of the game by the participant, Mrs. Anna. The first and last question the woman faced in the program concerned the slang used by corporate employees. – If corporate people work hard, that’s what they’re sitting in – the host of the game show, and then gave the proposed answers:
A. in the briefcase
B. in the package
C. in the bag
D. in an envelope
Reading the question, probably everyone guesses that the correct option is, of course, C. However, during the program, the host read the word “work” in Polish, and not as logic dictates, i.e. in English. The viewers considered this to be a deliberate misrepresentation of the participant. They had no mercy for him.
Internet users defend the participant of “Millionaires”. Who is right in this dispute?
Under the frame of the aforementioned episode published on the official Facebook profile, comments were almost immediately swarming. Internet users mostly agreed that it was Urbański’s mistake that the participant was disqualified. In their opinion, it was reading the proposed answer in Polish, and not in English, i.e. “łork”, that led to the mistake.
If read in the “bag”, then none is correct. Only after reading in the “łork” we have the correct answer. Poorly constructed question
Wrongly dropped out
Misread question. This is supposed to be a tournament of knowledge, not some trick game
– was the content of most of the messages, including those demanding the dismissal of the host. Among the commentators, there were several people who sided with Urbański, reminding that this is a game show, and the player is required not only to have extensive knowledge, but also to analyze and think rationally.
Reading “in the bed” would already be an answer and a hint. It’s “Millionaires” and it requires thinking
I would like to warmly inform everyone that the participant has a question written on the monitor. Does he have the brains to think? Ma. But a Pole always sees scams everywhere.
