General Motors, through its Chevrolet brand, launches a campaign that becomes a true statement, confirming that they are at the forefront of everything.
A just, egalitarian and discrimination-free society is what our present seeks after the execution of transcendental actions that aim to achieve a more equitable society with the same opportunities for all. Through time, women have had innumerable obstacles that have tried to impede the development of all their capacities; However, history confirms that many women managed to overcome the barriers of discrimination, misunderstanding and even racism to reach their own space in time and society, a struggle that little by little has favored everyone around the world.
For this reason, the Chevrolet campaign “More women driving” is a vindication of women and their recognition in the new roles and roles that they exercise in society. This declaration wishes to show the world their capacity, their power, their creativity and versatility. that is implicit in being women. In this context, Chevrolet Tracker Turbo was the best ally to show these women at the wheel, driving everything.
Full inclusion, full equity
This campaign by General Motors (GM), through its Chevrolet brand, builds on the global vision of diversity, equity and inclusion of the company that has long been a world leader in the defense of women’s equality in work place.
GM has more than 30% women in senior management positions, where Mary Barra stands out as global CEO, the first and only woman to hold the presidency of an auto company.
In its operation within Ecuador, GM currently has female talents occupying important leadership positions; that is, at the head of regional teams, collaborators in disruptive or non-traditional functions that have historically been in charge of men, collaborators leading work teams in the production line, engineers managing and monitoring manufacturing processes, leaders in charge of strategies of sustainability and environmental conservation programs, among many other positions of high responsibility.
More women driving
For this campaign, three professional women were incorporated who with their actions represent the principles, values, altruism and initiative of all women in Ecuador:
- Ana Cristina Romo, commercial pilot for a renowned airline;
- Pía Salazar, pastry chef at the Nuema restaurant, recognized as one of the 50 most important in Latin America; and
- Verónica Andino, mastologist surgeon.
In this way, “More women driving” aims to expose the vast amount of skills and abilities of women that make them true conductors of each stage of their life and their entire destiny. That is what the Chevrolet Tracker Turbo represents, which seeks to become the SUV of choice for that professional and empowered woman as a sign of its strength, integrity and leadership.
Nowadays, there are more and more “more women driving”, much more than cars.
