Some farmers may receive double benefit. Who is entitled to?
Farmers who paid contributions to the Social Insurance Institution and to the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) may apply for a double pension. However, several conditions must be met. First of all, be born after December 31, 1948 and have documented relevant contribution periods in KRUS. It is 20 years for men and 25 years for men. Only in these cases will the application for a double pension be approved. It must be submitted to both ZUS and KRUS.

It is also possible to receive a double benefit if seniors paid contributions in Poland and abroad. Then you should submit an application not only to ZUS. It should also be delivered to the relevant pension authority in the country where the work was carried out. It is important, however, that you must have reached the required retirement age and have a sufficiently long work experience both in the country and abroad.

The last privileged group are the uniformed. Persons commissioned after January 1, 1999, but before October 1, 2003, and with at least 25 years of service, may take advantage of two solutions. The first is to receive a double, i.e. the one for uniformed work and the one for civilian work. In their case, it is also possible to add the retirement pension for civilian work to uniformed work in order to collect them as one benefit. However, applications must be submitted to both ZUS and ZER MSWiA.
