I often go to weddings with my husband. I come from a town near Warsaw, where the wedding of a young couple is celebrated quite grandly. Our parents have been taking us to weddings and wedding receptions since we were children, and we are familiar with any wedding rituals. Obligatory point of every wedding are the oczepiny. What happened a few years ago at my good friend’s wedding, I remember to this day with a smile on my face. Although only after some time, because being at that moment, I was in shock and did not know what to do.
One of the men was king of the dance floor at the wedding
When we were going to my friend’s wedding in 2016, I didn’t know that there would be as many as 300 people. Due to the number of guests, all planned attractions were delayed, and the guests spent most of the time at the table, where they consumed and drank high-proof drinks. Even before the oczepiny, most men could barely stand on their feet, but they still eagerly took advantage of the charms of the wedding.
However, I will not forget one man who, although he drank a lot, at the same time spent a lot of time on the dance floor and danced energetically with his loved ones.
Every time he whistled, jumped and applauded, so I said to my boyfriend at the time that “you can see that you can have fun even drinking so much”. But I quickly took those words back.
The energetic guest ended the wedding quite quickly
Just after 4 o’clock we decided to go home. We wanted to say goodbye to the bride and groom, but we couldn’t find them. Suddenly we heard loud screams, not far from the men’s restrooms. It quickly turned out that the gathered crowd was trying to bring a man who stripped down to his boxers and wanted to dance with the guests a popular Belgian woman. As if that wasn’t enough, he often ran to the bathroom on obvious matters.
The bride and groom were furious that the crowd was cheering for such a madman.
Although now we remember it with a smile on our faces, then not everyone was happy with the behavior of the groom’s brother-in-law.
