Presidential couples and high-risk candidates will have police protection. This was determined by an agreement signed by the State Electoral Council (HNS) and the Ministry of the Interior.

The document also seeks to guarantee organization, security, maintenance of public order, control and transportation during the August 20 election.

Currently, the CNE has accredited 15 party delegates for the August 20 election review process.
