Agnieszka Robótka-Michalska was born on June 12, 1964. As a child, she lived in Brazil for several years, which resulted in fluent knowledge of two foreign languages ​​and a passion for travel. Aged only 17, Agnieszka Robótka-Michalska won the index of the Warsaw theater school, which she successfully graduated in 1986. She immediately got a job at the Dramatic Theater in Warsaw, and later joined the Nowy Theatre. She made her screen debut with an episode in the popular TV series. Later, she appeared several times in various productions, but the real success came with the main role in the telenovela, in which she appeared in 1988-1990. The series can still be watched on the platform. The character of Ewa Gliniecka ensured her nationwide recognition and audience recognition, but the actress had much greater ambitions and was not satisfied with the fact that she was identified with the heroine she played.

When she was at the peak of her career, and directors sought her participation in their productions, she unexpectedly decided to end her cooperation with the series and withdrew from the industry. “I was tired and felt exhausted. Eva’s character annoyed me. Polite, almost without flaws, sickly and humbly enduring all possible blows from fate. It was unbearable for me in the long run—then. A few years later, in the “Dzień Dobry TVN” program, she confessed that the reason was much more complex. She felt that she was not developing at all in this role, and by playing a constantly unhappy heroine, she would eventually end up in a drawer. The directors didn’t have much to offer her, entrusting her only with characterologically similar characters. She finally decided to put an end to it.

After leaving the series, she appeared in episodic roles in such productions as “Borderland on Fire” or “Women’s Case”, but eventually decided to withdraw from show business for good. During this time, she focused on family life, got married and welcomed two sons, Antoni and Jan, and decided to go abroad. After returning to her homeland, she planned to reactivate her career by taking appropriate steps in this direction, but after 12 years of absence, the film industry did not have much to offer her. She played several roles that were insignificant for the plot, e.g. in “Pensjonat pod Różą” or . The last time she appeared on the screen was in 2009 in the TV show “Operation Reszka”. Later, she tried her hand at politics, acting in the Committee for the Defense of Democracy, but without much success. Today, the 59-year-old avoids show business and rarely appears in public.
