In the past, he worked as an electrician, but at some point in his life he realized that this is not a profession in which he feels fulfilled and, after persuasion from one of his relatives, he decided to try his hand at teaching electric guitar. He added that it was the best decision of his life.
After a while, he admitted that he could not believe that he was standing on the stage of America’s Got Talent. The judges then asked him where he saw himself in the next five years, to which he replied that he would still like to teach guitar. In turn, when asked why he was trying his hand at television so late, he replied: “I never thought about it, I was sure I would get too nervous, but my students finally encouraged me to do it.”
The judges initially did not expect what the modestly dressed 59-year-old would present. However, their expressions quickly changed as Wines began to play the guitar part of Queen’s “We Will Rock You”. After a while, he showed the fullness of his spectacular abilities, and after the performance, the audience did not want to stop chanting for him to continue his game. The judges, however, did not hide their surprise with the musician’s performance.
“I wasn’t expecting this,” Simon Cowell began. “You came in here and you looked so normal and nice and sweet and then you turned into someone completely different. I love it,” he concluded. Sofia Vergara, on the other hand, suggested that a man can do much more than teach guitar: “You didn’t think you could be a teacher, and you thought about becoming a rock star?” “You closed your eyes as if you couldn’t believe your eyes, and we stood up just for you,” said Heidi Klum.
The man did not hide the fact that he was embarrassed by the compliments. “I have mixed feelings now, it’s the most stressful thing I’ve ever done in my life,” said the guitarist at the end, who left the stage with tears in her eyes when he received four YES votes from all the jurors.
