Lauryn Hill’s last concert in Philadelphia was exceptional. The artist celebrated the 25th anniversary of her debut album “Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”. At one point, her Fugees bandmates took the stage to celebrate this special moment with her. It is quite possible that it was their last joint performance in their career. One of the members of the formation has serious problems with the law.

Everyone gathered in front of the stage was surprised when suddenly Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel appeared next to Lauryn Hill. Everything happened during the artist’s concert, which she gave at the “Roots Picnic” music festival in Philadelphia. The musicians performed six songs together on the occasion of the singer’s 25th anniversary of the release of her cult album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”.

Was this the last full Fugees concert?

According to American media, it may be difficult to see the three of them together on stage in the near future. In April this year, Pras Michel was charged with federal charges, under the influence of which he was found guilty, among other things, of conspiracy, witness tampering and acting as a Chinese agent. He could spend up to 20 years in prison.

The rapper also cannot leave the United States, which may explain why the Fugees two years ago gave only one concert from the planned tour, which was also to include the UK, Nigeria and Ghana. The only concert that took place took place on September 22 in New York as part of an action with the participation of a galaxy of musical stars organized by the charity organization Global Citizen.

During the last concert in Philadelphia, they performed six songs together. These are their greatest hits, such as: “Ready or Not”, “Killing Me Softly With His Song” and “Fu-Gee-La”. These three songs come from the group’s second album “Score”, which turned out to be one of the best-selling albums of 1996 and opened the way to words for the band.

Questlove, who is the co-founder of the hip-hop group The Roots, was responsible for the production of the concert. After the show, he tweeted words of appreciation for his colleague. “Lauryn Hill did us a favor by not only allowing us to celebrate the classic Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill album with her, but she also created a moment by bringing her brothers Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel together. I am grateful that this wonderful evening happened.” – wrote the artist.
