Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk said he would not agree to a duel with a Russian
Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, in an interview with the YouTube channel Koloseum, answered the question about holding a duel with a Russian.
The athlete said that at the moment he would not have agreed to such a fight, and he cannot imagine this. “I wouldn’t want that either. Actually, I don’t even think about it. There is no one to box with, ”he emphasized.
On April 3, the World Boxing Association (WBA) ordered Usyk to fight against British Daniel Dubois. The fight should take place on August 12 in Wroclaw, Poland. The promotional auction appointed by the organization was won by the Ukrainian team. Thus, Usyk will receive 75 percent of the prize money for this fight.
Usyk has 20 wins in 20 fights. He holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and WBA Super heavyweight championship belts. Dubois has 19 wins and one loss.
