Ted Bundy was executed in the electric chair in 1989, but to this day he is considered one of the cruelest serials in the United States. He took the lives of more than 30 women, killing them with blunt instruments or strangling them. He seemed like a wonderful man, and for a long time his partner had no idea that during their relationship, Ted committed violent crimes. In 1981, Elizabeth published a book called “The Phantom Prince: My Life with Ted Bundy”, in which she described what it was like to live with a serial killer. After the premiere of the book, Ted’s ex-partner fell silent for almost 40 years. She did not give interviews or make public statements. According to Elizabeth, Ted was very involved in raising her daughter. They were a happy couple, but when she realized Bundy was a wanted murderer, she notified law enforcement. “It still doesn’t quite hit me that the man I loved and who seemed so perfect was capable of such terrible things,” she said.
