In 2010, Rados³aw Majdañ ended his playing career. He started commenting on TV matches, and recently, as an expert, he evaluates matches taking place in his home league. He recently talked about how he found himself in football retirement in an interview with Gossip.

Radosław Majdan recently gave an extensive interview to Wiktor Krajewski for the Plotka editorial office. During the conversation, there was about further parental plans, relationship with Ma³gorzata Rozenek-Majdan and sons, relationship with , but also football or work in the media. How did he find himself in the new profession after retiring in 2010? As he himself admitted, the current job gives him a lot of satisfaction.

Radosław Majdan’s retirement started quite early, when he was 39 years old. However, this is not an unusual situation among . – The world gives us, ex-footballers, ex-athletes, a greater opportunity to realize themselves later – he noted. Many former footballers decide to pursue a coaching career. Maidan also initially chose this path. – I also thought that perhaps I would become a coach – he remarked in an interview with Gossip. And indeed, after finishing his career and retiring from football, he was a sports director at Polonia Warszawa, training goalkeepers. The job of a coach, although it seemed a natural way after the end of a football career, ceased to be a good choice. It is often associated with traveling, moving to other cities or countries. And there were children, a family and completely new responsibilities. – I found myself a job in the media and pretty quickly started to enjoy it. I do what has been my passion all my life – he said in an interview with Wiktor Krajewski.

How does Radosław Majdan find himself in retirement? “I’m an expert because I know it”

Working in the media turned out to be a natural choice. He commented on matches on TV, he also assessed matches. As emphasized by Radosław Majdan, he feels an authority in his new profession. A career in the national team, participation in championships, playing on foreign pitches, and finally giving interviews after matches, analysis, talking to coaches and players meant that, as he himself noticed, he gained the right experience. Now he can freely speak about topics that are close to him. – I am an expert on football because I know it. I’ve been doing it for 30 years he stressed. He also admitted that he used to be annoyed by sports journalists who often criticized players after matches. Today, however, he understands them perfectly, and professional experience on both sides of the barricade allowed him to gain the right distance.
