Jerzy Nasierowski had everything to achieve a spectacular career. He came from a well-situated family with noble roots. After receiving a diploma from the Warsaw theater school, he became involved with the capital’s Teatr Powszechny. He also performed at the National Theater and the Komedia Theatre. He made his screen debut in Jerzy Passendorfer’s Zamach. Soon after, he played the main role in such films as “The Hour of the Crimson Rose” or “The Blue Room”, in which he starred alongside.
An affair with a man earned him the name of a scandalist. The actor did not hide his preferences
was famous for his colorful social life. In his apartment located in Warsaw’s Nowy Świat, he often organized heavily drunk parties and, as it was said in the lobby, also orgies. He also did not hide the passionate relationship that connected him with . It was for him that a colleague left his pregnant wife. However, this was only the beginning of the scandals with his participation.
The actor often traveled around Europe, bringing various stuff to the country. Smuggling activities helped him to make a fortune. – I brought to Poland, among others tubes and tips for pens and sold them for a profit. (…) I earned at least two million zlotys this way. And the average salary at that time was two thousand – in one of the interviews. In the early 1970s, Nasierowski had an affair with Andrzej Rakuszewicz, who was still underage and had a reputation as a thief. The alleged lover categorically denied this many years later. – We were never a couple, although Nasierowski made such advances, which created clashes – he insisted firmly. The relationship soon turned into trouble.
At the beginning of 1972, the man and his partner broke into the house of actress Mira Grelichowska. After the robbery, the housekeeper was found on the spot. Investigators said the woman had been strangled. When Nasierowski found out that the perpetrators who had been selected had been tortured, his conscience moved him. He went to the police station and gave his Rakuszewicz. He did not know that in order to save the innocently accused, he would become one of the suspects himself.
He was wrongly accused. While in prison, he wrote a book
Nasierowski was accused of being the ringleader of the entire operation. The actor was charged with participating in numerous thefts and was also found guilty of murder. For all these offences, plus tax fraud, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison. “The trial was a farce. My “defender”, attorney Jacek Wasilewski, over time it turned out to be TW, omitted the entry in the case files saying that I had notified the militia – he said bitterly years later. During his stay in prison, Nasierowski began to write the book “Crime and…”, presenting the reality of the PRL prison. In this way, his story reached Roman Bratny, who decided to provide him with legal assistance. During the appeal process, the patron proved that the artist was not involved in the crimes.
Nasierowski left prison in 1982 and hoped that Hajda would welcome him with open arms. However, upon returning to his apartment, he was shocked. It turned out that in his absence, a former partner robbed him of many valuable paintings and antiques that he had in his collection. In addition, the artistic community has completely turned its back on him. The actor moved into the shadows, focusing on his writing career.
