Jan Peszek is one of the well-known and talented actors who, together with his wife Teresa Peszek, also an actress, form one of the Polish show business. They met in kindergarten. Six-year-old Peszek, infatuated with his friend, told the parents of his future wife that “out of all the girls in the kindergarten, he likes Teresa the most and he will marry her.” Their paths crossed many more times. in primary and secondary school. At some point, however, their relationship was called into question. Their destinies separated, because each of them went to different cities, to different universities. Immediately after graduating from university, Jan and Teresa began to build a life together and make plans for the future. In 1969, at the age of 25, they got married and they said a sacramental “yes”. Peszek in one of the statements with Dziennik Polski, as quoted by the portal, assured:
Teresa is my first and last love. (…) To this day, we happily sail through life, and Teresa is the greatest helmsman.
As a married couple, they settled in Wrocław, but did not stay there for long. Then they moved to Łódź, and later also to Poznań. In total, they moved together seven times, still looking for their place on earth. Frequent change of residence was also associated with job offers that Peszek received. Despite all the crises, they still supported each other and remained in marriage. In 1970, their son Błażej Peszek was born, and four years later, in 1974, their daughter Maria Peszek was born. In the Rewia magazine, as quoted by the portal, Peszek mentioned that he had always wanted children.
I come from a large family, there were six of us. I was the firstborn. I have four more sisters and one brother. Three of us live in Poland and in the United States. My father wanted seven children, but he ended up with six, and without thinking, without anticipating, it was a natural instinct for me to have children in life.
Jan continued, while Teresa took up raising the children. When Błażej and Maria were adults, Teresa became her husband’s assistant and secretary.

The Peszko family has been married for over 54 years. So many questions arise about what the recipe for a happy relationship is. The actor confessed that, like in any relationship, they have good and bad moments.
I can’t give you a recipe for a successful relationship. we are normal. We argue, we have moments of silence. We respect each other for what we do, and most importantly, we have reinforcement in the form of children who we think are very successful. My wife and I both swim and dive a lot. That’s why we always choose clean seas. We have an island we’ve been going to for years. Common passions are an important element in a relationship. But also having your own territory. I like free people. From home I took intolerance for incapacitation.
In turn, his wife added that as a married couple they do not see each other regularly.
We rarely see each other. We spent maybe half of those years together.
